Peeled Onion Press
a visual art press to redefine the book
About

Danielle Arsenault
is a poet, mother, artist, and educator.

Danielle Arsenault is a poet, mother, artist, and educator.  She is working on her first poetry manuscript, and teaches Visual Writing workshops on the Sunshine Coast where she lives with her family. When spare moments present themselves, she spends them either in her garden, or learning the mandolin.

Aileen Penner and Danielle Arsenault founded Peeled Onion Press in 2008. They met in The Writer's Studio at Simon Fraser University in 2005. They have been members of the em.dash Writer's Collective since then, and share an inclination to mix, layer, and cross-pollinate their respective forms with visual media--blending story into art, and art into story. Peeled Onion Press is the culmination of that vision.

Danielle and Aileen have learned & developed their own unique technique and style through books (Joanne Mattera & her art blog) and workshops with Arleigh Wood and Suzanne Kay.

Aileen now works in Vancouver and her silkscreen and encaustic work can be found at aileenpenner.com.
